Naturopathic and Yogic Healing Workshop – a new workshop making its debut in 2010 – approaches healing from the Yogic and Tantric points of view. By this perspective, the Universe is like a web that interconnects everything in the net of information and energy in which the soul lives its dream of life….
This holistic view is rarely found in the premises for conventional health management and treatments. Very often the answers of those who practice medicine but have no insight into spiritual or holistic domains cannot be truly fulfilling for the intuitive minds of such practitioners or teachers. What is a spiritual crisis or purification? What is a disease? Which is the symptom of a step in evolution vs. an involution, the developmental advance of a disease? Conventional medicine does not take these aspects into account nor does it even hold a perspective on the fact that there may be a difference in the symptoms of a meditation practitioner and a lay man.
When approaching the human being as a whole, the causes of different symptoms or a multitude of potential implications for health can be confusing or overwhelming. Where does one begin the analysis? Are there priorities or directions for a cure or a disease? Is there a pattern of detoxification or possibly an individual reaction to various external aggressive factors or treatments? What kind of alternative healing works best and for whom? Why are some treatments, procedures, or diets life-saving for some people yet very challenging and not fully effective for others?
Dr. Mihaiela Pentiuc, a doctor Western-educated in medical rehabilitation, physical medicine and physiotherapy and now specializing in homeopathy and natural healing methodologies, is also a nearly 20-year Yoga practitioner and longtime Agama teacher. As a therapist and healer, she brings to this workshop many years of experience recognizing healing challenges, diagnosing conditions at both the gross, superficial level and subtle, holistic level, and proposing treatments that include a variety of modern available therapies, diets, Yoga techniques, naturopathic approaches, etc.
We will address how to build a personal, individualized Yogic healing program, how to differentiate between the different symptoms during a spiritual practice or an alternative healing program. A holistic view of the human structure and its functions will be central to the workshop themes, which will include:
Theory: We will explore principles of holistic healing applied in Yoga, Ayurveda, homeopathy, and all holistic forms of treatment in presentations on:This workshop has no prerequisite, and is intended to benefit not only patients and healers, but also Yoga teachers and practitioners. We invite all those interested in alternative and complementary forms of medicine – as well as in the healing applications of spiritual paths and practices – to attend.
