How is Mystical Belly Dance 2 structured?
For the women who have already completed Mystical Belly Dance 1 (MBD1) as a prerequisite, we will have the opportunity to spend another six wonderful days together, diving even deeper into the magic of sacred women’s dance. Revisiting the belly dance technique previously covered as a foundation, we will fine-tune our understanding of the outer and inner aspects of the movements. Compared to MBD1, this workshop emphasizes more specifically the ritual, meditative, and interpretative aspects of the dance, and you will be called upon to tap into your own inner wisdom to co-create a space of transformation.
Special highlights include learning a full drum solo choreography, staging a Bollywood film routine, and experiencing the Dance of the Seven Veils. We will also expand our understanding of Mystical Dance® by delving into aspects of Dervish whirling, Goddess invocation, temple-inspired dance and, of course, classical belly dance! Our work together will continue to address transfiguration, balancing our inner polarity, and harnessing and controlling the sexual energy. We will culminate our Shakti gathering with a sacred ritual, and we will celebrate our awakening in a final dance event open to the Agama Yoga community.

Her students unequivocally agree that her courses are inspirational and for many, life-changing.
What will the schedule look like?
We will meet approximately 6 hours per day (sometimes longer). The typical core hours will be from 9:00 – 12:00 and 18:00 – 21:00 although the actual schedule will be posted closer to the workshop start date and may shift substantially to accommodate Agama students who are also participating in the regular Yoga courses. It’s a full schedule, but the intensity will help accelerate your evolution! We devote the majority of our sessions to dancing, and balance this with meditations, theory, and special exercises corresponding to the day’s theme.
Additional details…
Bring comfortable practice clothes. A flowing skirt and hip scarf are helpful. You are encouraged to wear anything that particularly inspires your inner and outer feminine spirit.
