The training received through the program enables graduates to work in complementary healthcare settings with the expertise to develop Yoga-based wellness programs targeting stress reduction, cardiac problems, emotional well-being, musculoskeletal conditions, and many other areas. Each participant’s private Yoga practice will be upgraded and diversified in the therapeutic domain, lending skills that are more and more frequently sought by therapists, healers, and other specialized medical professionals.

This intensive course is for anyone who has experienced the healing power of Yoga and natural therapies and wants to bring this magic to the world, sharing the ancient wisdom that facilitates restored health and enhanced vitality. Become a better therapist, a more-informed Yoga teacher, or broaden your expertise into healing for body, mind, and soul.

Through this training, participants become Yoga Therapy Teachers. Certification as a Yoga Therapist requires an additional 300 hours of study over two years. Please see our Yoga Therapy Certification page for more details.

The AYTT is a standalone teacher training program, which also forms a mandatory element of Agama’s Yoga Therapy Prpgram, an 800-hour Yoga therapist training program. Agama Yoga has submitted an application to IAYT for accreditation of our yoga therapy program, and will be able to provide information on our status after IAYT completes its review process

What Participants Say...

«What called me into the AYTT was a longing for depth and breadth of knowledge in the field of yoga and healing that I simply didn't find in other holistic health programs. From day 1 of the program, I felt so connected to the curriculum and the practices. The experiential wisdom of the teaching team far exceeded my expectations, as did the rigor of the practicums, which offered me a confidence upon graduating that I could truly make a difference in future clients' quality of life through working as a therapeutic yoga consultant. This course was the most challenging and rewarding journey I've ever taken in professional development, and the feedback I get from clients that I now work with is a direct reflection of the incomparable high quality of the course.»
