KHUSHRU MISTRY

In 1974, Khushru, a Virgo, was born in India. As a child, he was very intrigued by the mystical and paranormal.

At the age of 19, his first encounter with spirituality came through reading the life story of Paramahansa Yogananda – a great saint of India -- in the book "Autobiography of a Yogi."

This book made a powerful impact on his young mind, and inspired him to seek out what he intuitively knew -- more than the average "good life." He began his quest toward unfolding his innermost excellence with the guidance and love of his spiritual mentors. His yearnings led him to Rishikesh, where he met Swami Vivekananda Saraswati. He was thrilled and fascinated by the vastness and miracles of the Yoga system, which ignited within him a belief in the infinite power and potential of being human. Swami Vivekananda gave his blessing for Khushru to teach Yoga in October, 2003. Since then, he has been teaching in both Bombay and Rishikesh, India, and at Agama's Thailand center.

Khushru practices Yoga with dedication and joy, and teaches with a zeal and passion that transfers to the students. Spreading the yogic wisdom to those who seek it is Khushru’s prayer to God – an expression of thankfulness.
