Juliette Salas

Juliette is an RYS and Yoga Alliance 500-hour certified Hatha Yoga instructor.  As a child, she studied ballet from age 3 on and later took up gymnastics when she turned 9. As a teen, Juliette began practicing Yoga at Beth El Temple in West Hartford, CT (USA). Later, after attending many Yoga classes in New York City, she traveled to India and in Dharamsala encountered Agama Yoga, which she feels represents the most authentic and comprehensive form of Yoga today. In 2011, she attended the very intensive Agama Teacher Training Course led by Swami Vivekananda and became an Agama Yoga Parichaya-level instructor. In the middle of this three-month training, she surrendered to the spiritual path….

As a woman with Incan and Aztec roots, she is a moondancer in the Meshika tradition and aims to integrate the Native American teachings of the red road with the ancient teachings of the Yogic path.

Juliette, a Virgo, holds a Masters Degree in TESOL and a Bachelor of Science in Apparel Design. She is currently an adjunct professor at New School University and an instructor for diplomatic staff at the United Nations. In addition, in autumn 2011, she opened Agama Yoga-NYC!

In her own words: "What is most profound is how Yoga reveals, unites, and harmonizes the true essence of our being – and that, at its core, is both the manifestation and emptiness of Divine Consciousness.”
