James is a child of the ’70s who grew up in England watching TV programs like "Kung Fu" with David Carradine; the humble monk who helped others made a greater impression on this youngster than anyone knew at the time.

The IT industry boomed in 1990, and James discovered his aptitude for SUN's brand of hardware and software; he spent most of the '90s consulting in England and Luxembourg. But as glamorous and lucrative(!) as this was, the picture of David Carradine hadn't faded, and so, after a spell as a diving instructor in Thailand, James headed to China. James found what he was looking for in Teacher Wan's Hun Yuen Wu Dao school. Here he experienced first-hand (and often with bruises!) the energies of the Universe that had enchanted him so all those years before. Finally there was a greater sense or reason, and purpose to life.

A twist of fate sent James back to Thailand a year later, where, after a couple of strange coincidences, he found himself in an Agama class.

James, a Taurus, taught in Thailand during the 2005 and 2006 seasons and is now based in the UK, where he has founded Agama Yoga (UK), and is holding weekend workshops introducing the Agama system, drop-in classes, and more advanced teachings for older students who have returned to the UK and wish to continue their yoga education. James is working towards an degree in Psychology and aims to publish scientific reports that legitimate Yoga's thus far unexplained effects.
