Ella Shannon

Ella, a dreamy Piscean from Australia, has always been drawn to all that is magical, mysterious, and mystical…. She had enjoyed Yoga, Reiki, and meditation for many years, but it wasn’t until she discovered Agama in Rishikesh in 2006 that she felt she had finally found the path that would bring her spiritual yearning to fruition. The only problem was that she was just then leaving India to start a three-year university degree in Behavioral Science back in Western Australia…. She left clutching a pamphlet about Agama and saved her student wages diligently to visit Koh Phangan for studies during every summer break. She has never looked back!

During this time she also trained as a Radiant Child Yoga Teacher and held successful extracurricular classes, which were a lot of fun. One week after completing her final university exam, she was on a plane to Thailand to attend the Agama Yoga Teacher Training Course, which has been the most wonderful undertaking of her life. Teaching and sharing Yoga is her dream come true. She has since held workshops in Australia and is now back in Rishikesh teaching, where the dream began.

Ella explains: “I am so passionate about this Yoga because it has totally transformed my life, and the wormhole just goes deeper and deeper…. Confusion and pain has dropped away. I just keep coming back again and again to my practice and I feel amazing!”
