Adam, a Sagittarius from the Boston area, fell into Yoga as a means of improving flexibility to enhance athletic performance. What started out as an experiment with a supplemental stretching routine eventually evolved into a conscious quest for Truth. Adam has studied and practiced many different styles of Yoga, and explored some of the world’s religions and mystical traditions academically. Along the way, he has spent time studying Tae Kwan Do, and healing traditions such as Alexander Technique, Reiki, and Thai massage. He has traveled within his own country and outside the United States in search of understanding, but all his outer quests eventually led him back within. Among the traditions and practices Adam has studied, Buddhist philosophy, Agama Yoga, and meditation for Revelation of the Spiritual Heart influence his current practice most.
In teaching Yoga, Adam strives to lead students on a journey from the physical aspect (specializing in an initial focus on alignment) into the deepest possible levels of the being. He encourages students to practice mindfulness, awareness, and presence as moment-to-moment gateways into stillness and true Yoga, union with the divine.
Adam wishes to express gratitude to Swami Vivekananda Saraswati, to Sahajananda, and to his other teachers — in all their many forms — for sharing with him the most precious gifts of all.
