"There is only one person who could ever make you happy, and that person is you."
-- David Burns --
Dear Agama Yoga community!
We hope that you had great time during the Christmas holidays and we would like to wish you a very happy, successful and healthy 2012!

Last month was a time of preparation for us here on Koh Phangan and we are glad that everything is now ready for a new season of Yoga. Construction at Srithanu Campus is finished and the administration team has already moved into the new buildings. Our new library opened on January 2nd and the new registration office on January 5th. We also reorganized the parking space at Srithanu campus to maximize the space needed for the many motorbikes and bicycles, as well as landscaping all the gardens. The Blue Hall got completely renovated, with a new floor and a new roof, plastered and painted walls, new mosquito netting, new fans and lighting system.
We are very excited to host the First Level Intensive in our Shakti Hall on Srithanu Campus from now on, so please let everybody know who starts this course to arrive directly on Srithanu Campus. Ananda Resort will continue to host Levels 2 and 3, and of course they still offer their very popular Detox programs (ask for a discount for Agama Yoga Students), as well as a new ‘Yoga for Healing’ in the mornings and afternoons. Ask the Ananda Resort staff for details or contact info@anandaresort.com.
There are a few changes regarding registration in 2012, most importantly the First Level Intensive can now only be paid daily (400 Baht/day), weekly (2100 Baht) or monthly (6900 Baht); and Levels 2+3 can from now on only be paid at a monthly rate (4000 Baht). Please be prepared for those changes if you sign up for those levels.

In December Gwenda hosted a small but successful ‘Sacred Indian Dance’ workshop, and Swami held the long anticipated ‘Tantra 1’ workshop and the popular ‘New Year’s Retreat’. Now in the beginning of January, the ‘Tantra 2’ workshop rang in a new season of workshops, retreats and Yoga courses.

Please take a look at our calendar for upcoming events, like the ‘Metaphysical’ workshop, ‘Mystical Dance 1’ and ‘Experiential Tantra’. On January 30th, Monika will lead a new group of enthusiastic dancers through the “Mystical Dance Teacher Training’. A few places are still available for this Teacher Training, don’t miss this exceptional experience!
This Sunday we have the pleasure of welcoming this year’s group of participants to the ‘Agama Yoga Teacher Training’, and our dear Justine will lead this group through their adventure of becoming a Yoga Teacher in the Agama Yoga tradition. This TTC is already fully booked, but if you are eager to join our training, we still have some spaces for the next TTC, which will be starting on May 28. Please contact ttc@agamayoga.com if you have any further questions.
In international news... 2012 is sure to be an amazing year! Agama Yoga-Mexico offers the First Level Intensive and Levels 2 and 3 in a five-week format with weekends off to enjoy the beach in Mazunte or take in a workshop. More advanced levels will now be offered as well. See their website for the full calendar and more information. In addition, Agama's Estonian center, Bhairava Yoga, also continues to expand its course offerings - now holding Levels 1-4 ongoing - and workshops. And in Rishikesh, India, Angela and Ananta prepare to keep Trika open through the winter for the fourth year in a row! Find Yoga inspiration at these and other Agama centers around the world if you cannot meet us at our island paradise!
In the last week we saw a few heavy rain-showers, but now the weather is back to sunshine and warm temperatures. Well, we consider everything under 30 degrees as ‘cold’, you know.
All the supported positions for this season are now staffed, but we are always looking for dedicated Karma Yogis who feel the need to give something back to their community. So if you feel inspired, please approach the registration staff on your arrival.
As always, please feel free to contact us with your suggestions or questions at info@agamayoga.com .
We are very much looking forward to seeing you again here with us on Koh Phangan and for today we remain,
with our best wishes for 2012!
Rainer and Team
