‘We can not be held responsible for the actions of others,
but we are responsible for our own!’
- UNKNOWN –
Dear Agama Yoga community!
It is hard to believe, but it is already December again and this means that a new and exciting season is just around the corner. We hope that you had sufficient time to relax or to refill your savings and that you are eager to come back to the island of bliss and spiritual adventure.
The low season has been pretty much without rain and the team had an awesome time teaching many new students and enjoying the otherwise very quiet island. Construction of the new buildings is now finished and when you arrive at Srithanu campus in January, you will already be able to register at the new Registration Office.

(Please note that the new season with our regular courses will start on January 9th and our new registration office will open on Srithanu campus on January 5th!)
In the short break between January 2nd and January 8th we will offer our popular Tantra 2 workshop, lead personally by Swami Vivekananda. This would also be the perfect time to refresh your Tantric knowledge, if you have done this workshop already in the past.

Already now we have Gwenda leading the ‘Sacred Indian Dance’ workshop in Green Hall. We are really excited to offer this workshop for the first time on Koh Phangan. Not long after, Swami will lead the Tantra 1 workshop (Dec 14th-18th), for which we already have many reservations and then the ‘New Year’s Retreat’ from Dec 23rd-Jan 1st. If you don’t have any plans for New Year yet, this would be the perfect way to spend this spiritually very important time!
In January after Tantra 2 we will continue with the long-awaited ‘Metaphysics’ workshop (Jan 17th-21st), ‘Mystical Dance 1’ (Jan 30th-Feb 5th) and January 30th also sees the start of Monika’s ‘Mystical Dance Teacher Training’ for which a few places are still available!
January will of course also see a new group of enthusiastic participants joining our ‘Agama Yoga Teacher Training’. If you are thinking about joining one yourself (this one is full, next one May 28th-Aug 18th), or if you just want to read some really inspiring stories, please read the following links. These are stories of participants of a scholarship program, offered by yogatrainingguide.com; who chose Agama Yoga as their preferred teacher training:

Of course we would be very happy if the winner of this contest would be one of the above and so we are asking you to support them by voting for their stories on all the different platforms (twitter, facebook, etc.). I am sure that this would make them very happy!
International Agama teachers continue to be very busy! In North America, both Swami Vivekananda and Sahajananda recently wrapped up very successful Canadian tours, with teaching stops in Ontario (Chatham, Kingston, and Wolf Island) and BC (Vancouver, Kelowna, and Terrace). Krista and Naomi restarted the Agama-Vancouver branch again in September, and hosted both Swami, who came to hold a Tantra 1 Workshop and some lectures, and Sahajananda, who led a Hridaya retreat. The branch has additionally been running Level 1 and 2 classes, a Hridaya course, and Tantra 2; these shaktis are teaching passionately, with many fun ideas for 2012! In nearby Edmonton, Blaire and Assaf are teaching, and of course Agama-Mexico is busy preparing to host the Hridaya TTC in spring. If you cannot make it to Thailand right now, you can always try to join Agama closer to home!
Please see our calendar for further workshops, retreats and Teacher Trainings.
Let us now introduce to you the management team for 2012:
Kris Vickery - Teaching Department
Steph Holland - Internal Operations
Yogesh - Projects and Maintenance
Ivo Brogle - IT
Abby B.H. - Finances
We are very happy to have such a great team this season and we hope that you will all support them with their important work for Agama Yoga.
The new season again needs dedicated Karma Yogis, so if you feel inspired to serve your community, please approach the registration staff on your arrival. We also might have the one or other supported position still available, you can write your application directly to gm@agamayoga.com.
As always, please feel free to contact us with your suggestions or questions at info@agamayoga.com .
So let us hope that 2012 will not bring the end of the world (the first ‘prophets’ have already arrived on Koh Phangan, please be careful and don’t follow anyone who promises you that you will be saved!), but a good season for Agama Yoga, where we can all evolve and advance further on our spiritual path.
For today we remain, from paradise island Koh Phangan,
Rainer and Team
