AGAMA YOGA AUGUST & SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER |
20 August, 2006 Dear yogis near and far, Namaste! Namaste! We hope that Grace has been shining on you during this past summer, lighting the way for a strong practice and buoyant spirit. Summer is soon winding down, but Agama is just about to begin another new and exciting year of activities. If you have the opportunity to join us in Thailand at our center on lovely Koh Phangan, senior teachers Debora and Khushru will next week teach a Tantra 1 workshop. This course, which explores the secrets of erotic tantric practice, will be held 21-25 August at Ananda Yoga Resort. Contact us at to reserve your place, or call +66 (0)89 233 0217 to reach our Thailand center. This autumn, for the first time ever, Agama will also be open year-round, holding the First Month Intensive Course monthly at Ananda Yoga Resort, Koh Phangan. Join teachers Harry and Marita, and tell your friends! You may join the course any day, Monday through Saturday; it is offered in cycle until 16 December, at which time we will teach Introduction to Kashmir Shaivism, followed by our 10-day New Year's Meditation Retreat. See www.agamayoga.com for more details. In other news, seven of Agama's students, including five teachers, have left for New Zealand and will open an Agama center there later in autumn! We have chosen the Golden Bay area, centered around the town of Takaka on the northern coast of the south island, as the home of this center. This area is charged with an incredible spiritual energy, which was even noted by H.H. the Dalai Lama. So wish them well! Stay tuned to our website for more news and photos. And last, but certainly not least, it is very big news this year that Swami Vivekananda will cross the Atlantic for a teaching tour to seven North American cities! The three-month schedule of almost daily teachings and travel will be very intense, but we are looking forward to bringing our beloved teacher to students on this continent. Swami himself also looks forward to learning about these places and meeting the people of Canada, the United States, and Mexico firsthand.
Love and blessings to everyone, |
