AGAMA YOGA - ISTANBUL

Agama Yoga is very pleased to announce a new center in Istanbul, Turkey!

Agama was invited by OWO-Kun, a spiritual center inspired by Osho’s teachings, to hold classes on a full-time basis at its beautiful location in the Taksim district of Istanbul.

The classes are intended to provide foundational instruction in the Agama Yoga system. Fundamentals on the Tantric Yoga approach will be presented in the optional half-hour lecture before or after each class, as noted on the schedule. Relevant written course papers will be provided as well.

The Yoga practice is energy-based, incorporating the knowledge of the chakras, yin-yang balancing, sublimation of energy, mental concentration, and meditation. The techniques and theory taught in these drop-in classes will reflect the highlights of the Agama First Month Intensive Course. You may join the classes at any time.

Swami Vivekananda Saraswati will offer intensive workshops at the center at least twice per year. His next visit will take place in spring of 2008; check back to this page for confirmed dates as available. In addition, periodic evening events and shorter weekend seminars will be offered.

The Agama - Istanbul classes were piloted by Monika and Manu, who opened the Agama –Dharamsala (India) branch. When they had to leave for prior engagements, Mihaiela stepped in to teach the classes. Now that she also has returned to her medical studies in Europe, Harry has arrived to run the center. Please join him for classes!
