Ananda Wellness Resort, located on the western edge of Koh Phangan island at Ao Hin Kong, is the home of Agama Yoga's beginner courses (First Level Intensive Course and course Levels 2, 3). In January 2007, owner and Agama yogi Vangelis began to offer detox cleanses, which he has since developed into truly superlative programs. Ananda's detoxification and cleansing programs utilize a time-proven system that combines therapeutic fasting, colemas, the best herbal supplements (from Arise and Shine, USA), detoxing and cleansing products (such as psyllium husk and bentonite), and other traditional methods, such as an herbal sauna steam room and Thai massage, to rid the body of toxins and other unwanted waste.
Natural law dictates that the bloodstream must be clean and properly nourished to provide optimum health. Ananda's programs supply the body with exactly what it needs to be healthy: perfect nutrition and perfect elimination. These programs fit very harmoniously with the goals of Yoga regarding purification, natural and preventive health care, and self-directed, proactive healthy living.
All the programs include all of the following on a daily basis: a one-hour detox massage (a combination of Thai and relaxation massage), one Yoga class, an herbal steam sauna, detox herbs from Arise and Shine, five detox shakes, two self-administered colemas (one is optional), fresh carrot juice, fresh coconut juice, vegetable broth, drinking water (Minère), and free Internet (in the Ananda Internet lounge or via wi-fi connection in the guest rooms). On the last half-day of the fasting programs, the fast is broken gently and friendly bacteria are replenished in the colon using Flora Grow probiotics. During the programs, you are carefully observed by dedicated staff and the program director. Ananda extends a 30% discount on its posted accommodation prices to detox program participants.

11 days - Deep intestinal cleansing - Gentle
This program is comprised of two days of preparation on a diet of fruit, raw vegetables, and juices, followed by seven days of fasting, herbal detox products, and 15 colemas to cleanse the colon. In the final two days the fast is broken gently with a diet of fruit, raw vegetables, and juices. Food and drink for four days, nine one-hour massages and 11 visits to our herbal steam sauna are included.

This program is the most popular. It takes seven days to cleanse the entire bloodstream by fasting, and seven days to thoroughly rid the lymph system of toxins.
