Our long-awaited center in Colombia has now opened its doors, bringing Agama Yoga to a new continent and introducing full introductory-level teachings in Spanish!
This special little city, Sogamoso, is known as the city of the Sun and a city of iron abundance, as well, due to Colombia’s prolific iron industry. The Sun actually has more luminosity here, a feature proven today by scientists, although the indigenous people, the Muiscas, before there was proof, noticed this effect and long ago built a Temple of the Sun, which is just a few meters from the Agama center. The First Month Intensive Course, which is called here “the first cycle,” is spread over three months with classes twice weekly. Classes are held Monday and Friday at 19:00, at: Finca San Pedro – Km 1, vía Lago de Tota, Sogamoso, Boyacá, Colombia. Thereafter, the minimum donation for daily classes is 10,000 Pesos (€3.50); there are special discounts for those who pay monthly and for karma yogis, who may not be able to afford what amounts to the standard course donation. Head teacher Juan is also offering specialty workshops on a monthly basis. For example, the Weekend of Agama Yoga Workshop is given in various cities of Colombia (Bogota, etc.) in the hopes that one day full courses may open in these places as well. It is offered on a by-request basis for smaller or larger groups; Juan will teach this workshop to students whenever and wherever a group wishes - at a house, office, farm, or anywhere else. Minimum donation per person is 70,000 Pesos (€24). Juan also teaches one-day immersion workshops such as:
• Action (an introduction to Karma Yoga) The minimum donation for these workshops is 10,000 Pesos (€3.50) per person for groups of at least three; for individuals, the fee would be 30,000 (€10.50). |
