AGAMA YOGA INDIA - DHARAMSALA

Welcome to Agama - Dharamsala! Agama - Dharamsala teaches the classic program from the beginners’ First Month Intensive Course through the third month course level. From there, we encourage our students to continue their studies under the direct guidance of Swami Vivekananda in Thailand.

As is the case at all Agama centers, you may join the First Month Intensive Course at any time. A student’s completion of the first month course entitles him or her to Agama’s International Yoga Federation-affiliated certificate.

Two of our most senior and beloved teachers, American Monika and Belgian Manu, lead teachings at the Agama branch in Dharamsala, the Dalai Lama's north Indian home in exile. The course is taught in Bagsu, just north of McLeod Ganj.

How to Find Agama-Dharamsala
We are located in Bagsu, the village just above McLeod Ganj, north of Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh, Himalayas. Simply walk to the end of the main road in Bagsu which leads to Dharamkot and veer left up the hill pathway going toward lower Dharamkot. Follow the signs to the Agama center, which is located just beside the Supna Guesthouse.

We are there every day except Sunday, holding first month classes from 9:00-11:00 and 16:00-19:00 or so. Second and third month classes are scheduled in the afternoons.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Cost

The minimum donation in Dharamsala is Rs 350 (€6.25) per day, at the drop-in rate; the rate for advance course payment of six days or more is Rs 300 (€5.40) per day.

Should you have any financial difficulties in meeting these costs, please discuss your circumstances with your teacher.

Although Indian citizens may attend the courses on a free or donation basis in Rishikesh, in Dharamsala, which has a much smaller hall and therefore a more limited capacity to offer teachings, sadly this option is not available except on a case-by-case basis as space allows. Please speak with Monika and Manu; you may reach them at +91 (0) 98 167 84 131 (Monika) and +91 (0) 98 167 84 191 (Manu).
